A pacient, F, 34 years old had a CBCT scan for implant planning. The left maxillary sinus seems to be smaller than on the right side. There is a left maxillary sinus hypoplasia?

It is clear that in all three views, the left maxillary sinus has a small volume compared with the right side. Another important thing which can be observed is that the maxillary sinus walls are normal but there is an increased thickness of the sinus mucosa. It is necessary to assess also the permeability of the infundibulum and the existing of associated anomalies of the uncinat process. Coronal view for uncinat process is necessary.
